Fill out an adoption application at Paws Animal Shelter. You must be able to commit to keeping your new animal as an inside pet and you must agree not to declaw your pet.

Applications take 3 days for review. Of course, your selected pet is reserved just for you during this waiting period.

All Paws Animal Shelter pets are neutered/spayed and are up to date on all age appropriate vaccinations. However, if your new pet is under 4 lbs., you’ll be given a spay/neuter certificate that will cover the cost of this future procedure.

Once your application has been approved, you’ll receive a phone call from our adoption specialist who will schedule a convenient time for you to finalize your adoption and transport your new pet to its forever home.

You’ll be asked to sign an adoption contract in order to ensure you and Paws Animal Shelter are both serving the best interests of your new pet.

Before you and your new pet head home, you’ll be given a supply of your new pet’s usual diet in order to aid in the transition, along with an instruction sheet to help you acclimate your pet to its new home.
